The Bedford Town Republican Committee (BTRC) is pleased to announce the election of its newest chairman John Nuculovic. The BRTC elected John unanimously at its recent meeting.

John brings a wealth of public service experience and relevant background to lead the growing Republican committee.

Mr. Nuculovic is a former Adjunct Professor in both the Computer Science and Cyber Security, holding an M.S. from Mercy College He began his career in public service as a Corrections Officer at Riker’s Island. He is a former United States Army Military Police Captain and paratrooper, Platoon Leader in the 300th Military Police Company, Executive Officer of the 116th Military Police Company, an Anti-Terrorism Instructor/Adviser, former Law Enforcement Patrol Supervisor, and Logistics Officer for the 97th Military Police Battalion.

Currently, he is the Asset Manager for the Putnam County, New York as well as serving on the Local Emergency Planning Committee, Putnam County Safety Committee and Capital Projects Committee.

John is a volunteer firefighter on Rescue 10 in Bedford Hills, the former Lieutenant of Engine 115 in Katonah, an E.M.T., and is a current member of the Westchester County Emergency Services Special Operations Division: Hazardous Materials Response Team.

He has been involved with the Republican Party since his time in the Army, volunteering in campaigns and making appearances at functions in various States and is also a former candidate for the 93rd New York Assembly in 2018.

“I am proud to have this opportunity to serve The Bedford Republicans and my community,” said Nuculovic, “I have always believed the in the importance of local government. The Bedford GOP has had such an important role in shaping the community we all love so much. I look forward to carrying on that tradition.”

The Bedford Republican Town Committee is a community organization based in the Town of Bedford, which includes Katonah, Bedford Hills and Bedford Village.
