Each year, the New York State Town Clerks Association honors 10 of its members with their prestigious “Town Clerk of the Year” award in each region of the state.  This year, the 2014 award for our district — which covers over 100 towns in the Lower Hudson Valley — goes to Bedford Town Clerk Boo Fumagalli.

At the Bedford Town Board meeting on June 3, 2014, Boo was officially recognized and presented with her award by the President of the New York State Town Clerks Association, Christian G. Sampson.  Mr. Sampson is the Clerk of the Town of Ramapo in Rockland County.

In their official proclamation, the State Clerks Association cited her service as a clerk not only in Bedford but in support of her colleagues, having served on many committees in the Clerks Association and also as a member of the International Municipal Clerks Association and as Past President of the Westchester Town and City Clerks Association.

They also singled out her community service, including her participation with the Lions Club of Bedford Hills, the Bedford Hills Neighborhood Association, the Community Center of Northern Westchester, the Katonah-Lewisboro School District, Katonah Village Improvement Society and the Bedford Hills Womens Club — among many, many others.

Congratulations, Boo!
