A committee selected by Supervisor Chris Burdick has proposed the banning of leaf blowers in the town. A recent public hearing brought out 75 plus citizens most of whom complained about the possible banning.
The problem of noise caused by leaf blowers has been an issue for some homeowners in the more densely populated areas of the town. Many of the landscapers that were at the meeting expressed the opinion that if the blowers are banned then their prices will just increase because of the added time needed to dispose of leaves and other debris.
